Join us as we learn God’s story using the Gospel Project curriculum with worship, activities, scripture memorization, and prayer in large and small groups with leaders who love helping kids know God’s word. Children are sent home with an Activity Page about the lesson so parents can continue discussion throughout the week.
Choose the same time each Sunday so that your child will have a consistent small group that they can connect to and establish a relationship with. If parent serves, your child will attend class during that hour than attend preaching with you the hour you are not serving.
4:15 – 6:30 pm
While parents attend adult life group, their children are taught a Bible lesson using 252 Basics curriculum with a DVD lesson and engaging activities to help them apply it to daily life. Children may bring dinner or snacks from home to eat in class if they choose. They are sent home with a four-day devotion based on the lesson that encourages them to spend time reading the Bible and talking to God at home.
REGISTRATION & CHECKING IN
You will need to register your child in the WillowbrookLife system by creating a family profile at either the preschool or grade school desk (to the right as you enter). You will type in your names, children’s birthdates/grades, mobile number and carrier (to text you during service if needed), address, and email as well as any food allergies. Our desk volunteers will assist you and take facial photos which are used to check out your child. Once your child is registered, he/she may be checked into class each time you come to Willowbrook at a computer kiosk in the children’s area. You will receive 2 nametags (one is for the child to wear and the other is to give to the teacher for the class roster) from the printer as well as a security code to check out your child. The security code can be torn in half so that you and your spouse may each pick up children at the same time and is a sticker so that you can stick it on your clothes to not lose it. You will check your child out at their class using the security code printed at the time you checked in.
What We Teach
Sunday Morning, we use The Gospel Project for kids with a Bible story video, scripture memorization, activities and more to teach kids how God’s plan of redemption unfolds through scripture and is relevant today. Kids will gain a clear understanding of the entire gospel story—how all of Scripture points to the gospel of Jesus starting with Genesis through Revelation.
Sunday Evening, we use 252 Basics that is based on Luke 2:52. Every week there is a key truth or bottom line based on the monthly themed virtue. Each week we send home weekly devotions about the lesson to help them establish a lifelong habit of spending time with God.
When You Can Drop Off Your Child
How early can I bring my child?
Children may be checked in 15 minutes prior to the start of each service or event.
Can my child stay for both services?
No. If parent serves, your child will attend class during that hour then attend worship service with you the hour you are not serving.
Occasionally we will have something special as a celebration or for a particular lesson. On Sunday nights, we offer goldfish for those who did not bring a snack from home. We are aware of allergies listed in your child’s profile.
