Willowbrook has been our church family since 2008. What a joy to be part of the Madison campus launch in 2010, see the tremendous growth and witness God’s faithfulness over the years! When accepting the part-time position of Madison’s grade school director in February 2012 as a mom of a 2nd grader, I never imagined the blessings that would follow. It has been a tremendous honor to teach children about God’s love for them. I remember that passion to learn and grow closer to God as a child who accepted Jesus as Savior at the age of 9 after a week of Vacation Bible School. My heart is to instill that passion to WBKids.

My husband John and our son Joshua (when home from Mississippi State University – go bulldogs!) serve alongside me each Sunday morning. You will find them at the grade school desk, in a classroom or solving a technical problem of which I am useless. We enjoy time together with outside activities, board games, and my personal favorite – SEC college football. We love international missions as that brought my husband and I together over 25 years ago and eventually our son to us from Russia.

I am a wife to Matt and a homeschool mom to three wonderful children. My family started attending Willowbrook Huntsville campus in 2010. When we moved into a new home, we made the move to Madison Campus in 2018. My greatest passion is teaching kids God’s word in an engaging way and have been doing so as a Sunday School teacher for the last 24 years. For that reason, in addition to assisting Tara, I volunteer to teach the 4th and 5th graders each week. It is a true honor and a joy to serve our young people and their families. My desire is for our children to know the Lord, to know His great love for them, and to know that they can do amazing things through Him.
